Quorum was met.

Meeting was called to order by David Yeager, at time 7:15 p.m..

Board members in attendance were as follows: Dave Yeager, Steve McPherson, Lynn Anoai, and Mel Ash. Alfred Rodriguez was absent.

The management company was represented by Lisa Donohue of EPM Services.

The September 2014 minutes were approved with a motion from Mel and seconded by Lynn. All agreed. Motion passed.

Treasurers Report by Lisa Donohue
  • As of September 30, 2014
    • CNL Operating Account: $53,253.70
    • Centerstate Money Market: $130,997.34
    • CNL Reserve Account: $133,789.36
    • Accounts Receivable: $64,189.16
Committee Reports were given as follows:
  • One ARB application was submitted.
Landscaping/Maintenance:
  • Management was requested to have PLM trim the bushes at the entrance more carefully. A motion was made by Lynn and seconded by Steve to accept the $1759 proposal by PLM to install landscape improvements in the islands at the entrance.

  • Sod will not be installed at the retention ponds until the rainy season starts again.

  • A motion was made by Mel and seconded by Steve to have handyman, Dave Grunderman, paint the Quail Valley sign and install steel posts on the islands.

  • Code Enforcement to be notified by management regarding problems in the community with owners not bundling their yard debris correctly.
New Business:
  • The 2015 Budget was approved with no increase in the annual assessment. As in previous years, no reminder fees will be added to owner’s accounts until April 1, 2015. Steve made the motion to approve the budget and Mel seconded the motion. All approved and the motion carried.

  • A discussion ensued about using speed detecting warning signs in the community. This must first be approved by city council. The majority of the owners approved going the first step to see if council approves. A motion was made by Steve and seconded by Lynn for the City Manager to ask City Council for permission for Quail Valley to have solar powered speed indicators in the community. All approved and the motion carried

  • The Board agreed that Dave Yeager would meet with Hunt Law Firm regarding the Walgreens issue.
Motion to adjourn by Lynn at 8:46 p.m.

Next meeting will be held on Thursday, January 22nd, 2015 at 7:15 at the Minneola City Hall. This will be the Annual Membership Meeting.
