Meeting was called to order by John Flowers, at time 7:00 p.m.
Notice was posted on the QVLOA web and a sign was posted at the entrance of the neighborhood.
Board members in attendance were as follows: Kerry Postel, Mel Ash, Natalie Yancey and John Flowers. Sally Osteen was absent. Andrea Bellas from EPM was present as Chelsea Bono was unable to attend.
Motion made by Melvin and second by Kerry to approve the January 7, 2010 minutes.
Treasurers Report by Andrea Bellas
- As of February, 2010
- Checking Account $8,079.16
- Money Market: $165,460.34
- Accounts Receivable: $111,557.43
- 20 homes are currently in foreclosure. 4 homes in bankruptcy. 120 homes owe only 2010 dues.
- Motion made by Natalie and a second by John to send a postcard to homes that have not yet paid their 2010 dues to remind them that fees and interest will be added if the dues have not been paid by March 31, 2010.
Committee Reports were given as follows:
ARB Report:
Five requests received which were approved — 2 for fencing, 2 for painting and 1 for pool and screen. Motion made by Melvin and second by John to have George David Jr. join the ARB Committee.
Violations:
Drive through report will be sent to Board members. Fine system is in the final stages of being completed by the attorney. Will be brought to the Board for approval and then a quorum will be needed to amend the documents.
Unfinished Business
- New 4’x5’ sign has been purchased. Sign should be installed this month.
- David Yeager is talking to the City of Minneola about having rumble strips in front of the playground — should have an update next meeting.
- PLM to do sprinkler repairs this month also. The retention pond by 455 Gentle Breeze Drive not being maintained on a regular basis. PLM to be notified.
- Chelsea to drop off keys and bags to Fido houses so that bags can be replaced.
Under New Business the following topics were discussed:
- The next community yard sale will be on April 17, 2010, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motion made by Kerry and a second by Natalie to advertize the yard sale on Craig’s list, The Newsleader and South Lake Press. Chelsea to find out how much the banner would cost that we have had previously.
- Suggestion made by homeowner to have a Yard of the Month. The ARB committee would choose a home either monthly or quarterly and the winner would receive a gift card for a local DIY store and a sign to have in the yard for that month. More discussion next month.
- Next meeting scheduled for April 7, 2010 at 7 p.m.
Motion made to adjourn by Kerry and second by Natalie.
